Wight family tradition: Glacier Nat'l Park

Once a year my husband's family takes a trip to Glacier National Park. After being there, I can see why. It is quite breath-taking.

Flathead Lake (it's huge!)

Going-to-the-Sun Road, Glacier NP
(Holy crap! straight drop off on the other side of the rock wall! Sometimes up to around 1000 feet or more!)

Mountain sheep at the top of the pass (where Going-to-the-Sun Road ends. Go Rams!)

 Pictures at the visitor's center
 Marmot ("Alan! Alan! Alan! Al!")
 Ground squirrel

 Mama and baby mountain goats
 Parked under the weeping wall

"The Gorge" just a short walk from our campground

 bear grass
black pinecones that stick straight up from the branch

This weird vehicle can be seen all over the park. These "Jammers" are used as tour buses

Swimming in Lake Koocanusa (named for the Kootenai River that feeds it and the "can" because half is in Canada, and "usa" because the other half is in the USA. We were in the US part of it (we didn't bring our passports).
Train tracks running parallel to Kootenai Falls

Look What I Can Do!

Raspberry season comes and goes fairly quickly in The Garden, but when it hits, it's like an explosion of berry deliciousness. My MIL has a bunch of bushes and gave us a bowl-full on a night we had walked to their house, so, just for fun, while walking home I was seeing if I could balance the bowl on my head the whole way home. I made it a pretty good portion of the way, too. I was proud of myself :)

Summer of the Spiders!

Don't know why, but the spiders decided to invade the house this summer. I promise, I spent 2 weeks killing at least 1 spider per day.

Babysitting Fun

This is what we do when nieces and nephews come to visit (this or clean, depending on my mood).

Pinedale

Random trip we took to Pinedale, WY, home of the Mountain Man Museum.

The Original J.C. Penney store in Kemmerer, WY

Name Hill with Jim Bridger's name carved in it

 Flat tire!

4 of July!

(A week after this the pregnant belly turned into a snugglin' baby boy)

The kitty came into the picture and ruined their attention span...

Iron Man was at the park in Huntsville letting everyone take pictures with him.

Waiting for Mom and Dad to get a snow cone.

Spencer's Hobby (looks like work to me...)
